What does “exceeding the number of simultaneous sessions” mean?

vLex is a subscription service that is subscribed to taking into account the total number of beneficiaries or potential users within an organization (i.e. number of attorneys in a law firm or number of students in a university.)

The “Exceeded the number of concurrent sessions” error message indicates that there are more users using vLex than contracted licenses. For this reason, the system prevents you from accessing your account due to the fact that you do not have any additional licenses to do so.

To avoid problems, end your vLex session using the “Exit” option before closing the browser, as otherwise the license will remain active for 30 minutes after the browser closes. After 30 minutes, the sessions close automatically.

Increasing your number of licenses

If you would like to increase your number of contracted licenses, please contact our Customer Service Department by email at support@vlex.com.
